Grilling is a very simple way of cooking. The dripping juices, the billows of mouth-watering aroma, not to mention that beautiful charred look. Once you grill for the first time, chances are you will be hooked. For me, my search for the best 2-burner gas grills began a while ago. You see, sometime back, I bought my first grill, a tiny Weber powerhouse with excellent heat retention. The problem is, I can't grill on that little grill anymore. I need a giant grill for me and my family's expanding appetite.
So, I figured a 2-burner gas grill is the natural next step. With my research came a few insights which I decided to share with you, dear reader. Without much ado, let's get started. These are my picks for the best 2-burner gas grills 2022 edition.
Best 2-Burner Gas Grills
1.Char-Broil Classic 280 2-Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill
If you are in the market for a compact, attractive, and infinitely useful 2-burner gas grill, then you have found it. The Char-Broil Classic 280 2-Burner LP gas grill is a minimalized but powerful grill with some excellent features.
Features
This baby will be dishing out 20,000 BTUs of power from two incredibly durable stainless steel in-live burners for starters.
Secondly, you will be in the presence of 280 square inches of porcelain grates, or precisely, a 20" complete and 14" deep cooking area.
Third, this is a conventional type of grill. So, you know fuel consumption is sufficient, as is heat retention. Speaking of heat, the Char-Broil Classic 280 uses a Piezo ignition system known for reliability.
Fourth, this grill comes with two metallic side shelves for extra prepping space. You will love the porcelain-coated steel lid, which can stand up to the elements with ease.
And finally, the entire rack is mounted on a cart-like frame with two 6-inch wheels and two fixed legs.
Functionality
For such a cheap (under $150) gas grill, the heat distribution on this grill is beyond. And especially because there is no proprietary technology supporting the heating system.
Also, even if you bought this on a budget, you can add advanced features such as a side burner (around $50 extra) generating 8,000 BTU of heat.
The side shelves measure a somewhat generous 12x13 surface for storage or prep.
Perhaps the only downer is the fact that the frame is more of a cart than a cabinet. Everyone can use extra storage space, especially when grilling outside.
Capacity
As you can probably deduce from the name, this grill offers 280 square inches of grilling space as well as two 12x13 side shelves. The stainless-steel dual burners generate 20,000 BTUs of heat.

Speaking of the grates, they are all porcelain-enameled cast-iron grates. The grates are heated by top-ported 443 stainless-steel tube burners delivering 18,000 BTU of cooking heat.

5.Master Cook Professional 2-Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill
And last on our best 2-burner gas grills list is this masterpiece. The MASTER COOK Professional 2-burner grill is a powerhouse grill with great visual appeal and restaurant-grade features. If you are looking for a compact grill that also delivers immense power and reliability, this is the grill for you.
Features
The MASTER COOK professional grill is the perfect balance between compact and spacious.

Secondly, MASTER COOK professional grill features an integrated piezoelectric ignition system that never fails. It lights both burners in one go.
Third, MASTER COOK is fitted with two burners emitting a total of 32,000 BTU of heat. Each burner has its control knob. This is a great feature when you want to hybrid cook.
Functionality
We mentioned hybrid cooking in the feature section. You may be wondering what it is, so here goes. Hybrid means cooking on one burner using heat from the other burner. For the most part, hybrid cooking is for when you want to slow cook something and don't want to place it over direct heat.
MASTER COOK professional is created for functionality. This is why it can easily fit in tight spaces and then fold out into a large grill when needed.
It would help if you kept in mind this is strictly a propane-powered grill. There are no conversion kits for this model, so do not attempt to use natural gas with it.
Capacity
As we have mentioned, MASTER COOK professional offers 312 square inches of primary cooking area. The warming rack is 90 square inches, which adds up to a little over 400 square inches of cooking space. According to user reviews, this baby can grill 23 burger patties at a go.
We can't argue that given the incredible 32,000 BTU per hour of cooking heat coming off this grill.

Cons
Why do We Recommend this Grill?
This is a highly functional grill. You have plenty of space to work with, and yet the best part is it all folds away when it's time to store the grill. Plus, 32,000BTU/hr heat is quite impressive. Ultimately, for me, it is the hybrid cooking capabilities. Not all grills can do that, and I appreciate one that can do it well.
Things to Consider Before Buying a 2-Burner Gas Grill
In my quest for the best 2-Burner gas grill, I came across a few pointers you must keep in mind before purchasing your choice grill.
Primary cooking area
For starters, this was my number one concern. And I think it's the same for a lot of 2-burner gas grill shoppers. You want to know how big the grilling surface is. It would be pointless to end up with a 2-burner gas grill that is no different from a single-burner.
Construction material
What is your grill made of? Essentially, you want a predominantly porcelain-enameled grill. This is because porcelain enamel stands up to the elements pretty well. Also, ensure your grates are cast-iron. The truth is, the cast-iron retains heat well and is easy to clean. Stainless steel grates are challenging to clean because food easily sticks to them.
Additional Features
Some of the 2-burner gas grills are pretty basic. However, there are some useful features you should insist on. For instance, a warming rack, in-built thermometer, and so on. Do not end up with a bare-bone burner just because you're on a budget.
BTUs
As you know, BTU represents the intensity of heat produced by the burner. Naturally, we want a burner that gets very hot. But be careful not to choose a burner purely based on the BTU. Some burners have high BTU but no way to evenly distribute the heat. That is how you end up with cold spots on your food.
Warranty
Warranty or some guarantee is essential. Grills are not cheap, so you want a company capable of replacing or repairing your grill should something go wrong.
Budget
Of course, a budget is imperative. In my experience, if you are thorough, you can always find an acceptable, even kickass 2-burner gas grill without breaking your bank.
Conclusion
What do you think about our best 2-burner gas grill list? Do you have any experience with any of the burners on the list? Please share your thoughts and experiences. We are always up for a discussion.
