   1.The meat should be pink in color, including thighs and wings. 

   2.When you touch the flesh of the chicken, it should feel firm and not stiff. There is a difference between being firm and being stiff. Flesh, at the same time, should be spongy to touch.

HOW TO GRILL CHICKEN ON STOVE?

In this article, we are going to look at how to grill chicken thighs and chicken breasts on a gas stove.

Things Required:

  • Grill pan or Skillet
  • Chef's Knife
  • Meat Pounder
  • Parchment Paper
  • Tongs
  • Paper Towels

Ingredients Required:

  • Chicken Thighs - 4 medium-sized (with skin and bone)
  • Chicken Breast - 4 medium-sized (boneless and skinless)
  • Lemon - 1 medium-sized
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

For seasoning:

  • Smoked paprika - ½ teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Chilli powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Onion powder ½ teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - ½ teaspoon 
  • Kosher Salt or Sea Salt - as per taste
  • Pepper - as per taste

HOW TO GRILL CHICKEN THIGHS ON STOVE

To make a juicy grilled chicken thigh, you need chicken thighs with skin and bones—the more the skin on the thighs, the more delicious the outcome. The main advantage of cooking a chicken thigh is that it is easy to cook, seasoned, and has a greater texture than other parts.

Step 1

Clean the chicken well by washing it in water with a little amount of lemon juice or vinegar to kill the bacterias that might have developed.

Step 2

Dry the washed and cleaned chicken thigh with a paper towel.

Step 3

Apply all the spices - smoked paprika, cumin powder, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and pepper in an adequate amount on both sides of chicken thighs. Use salt and pepper as the base ingredient. 

Step 4

Leave the marinated chicken thigh for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Step 5

Add one tablespoon of olive oil and preheat the grill pan or Skillet for 2 to 5 minutes on medium-high flame.

Step 6

 Place the marinated chicken thighs on the grill pan or Skillet for 5 to 6 minutes on medium-high flame. (DO NOT THE FLIP BEFORE 5 TO 6 MINUTES). 

Step 7

Check if the bottom part of the piece has turned crispy (cut and check if the meat is white) or leave it for another minute (if it is still pink in color)

Step 8

Now, turn the chicken thighs to the other side using tongs—Cook this side for another 4 to 5 minutes. 

Step 9

Now, using tongs, remove the chicken thighs from the pan and place it in a paper towel to cool down.

HOW TO GRILL CHICKEN BREASTS ON STOVE 

Chicken breasts are one of the most chosen parts by the people for their juiciness and taste. Most often, people think it is one of the easiest parts of a chicken to cook. But cooking a juicy breast is harder than you think. Most often, people end up with a rubbery texture. It is essential to choose a breast part that is boneless and skinless, to make the best juicy chicken breast. This will help in even cooking.

Step 1

Place the chicken breasts in a zip lock cover and flatten them by using a meat pounder or a heavy rolling pin.

Step 2

Season it with all spices, smoked paprika, cumin powder, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and pepper in an adequate amount on both sides of the chicken breasts. Use salt and pepper as the base ingredient. 

Step 3

Leave the marinated chicken breasts for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Step 4

Add one tablespoon of olive oil and preheat the grill pan or Skillet for 2 to 5 minutes on medium-high flame.

Step 5

Place the marinated chicken pieces into the grill pan or a skillet for 5 to 7 minutes on a medium-high flame. (DO NOT THE FLIP BEFORE 5 TO 6 MINUTES).

Step 6

Check if the piece's bottom part has turned crispy (cut and check if the meat is white) or leave it for another minute (if it is still pink in color). This extended grilling time depends on the thickness of the chicken breast.

Step 7

Now, flip it to the other side using tongs. Cook it for another 4 to 5 minutes.

Step 8

Transform the pieces to a cutting board and slice them once into smaller pieces once it is cooled down.

You can store these pan-fried chicken in a refrigerator in an airtight container or a freezer bag for 4 days. You can also store these pan-fried chicken in a freezer for up to 3 months. But before storing it in a refrigerator or a freezer, make sure it is cooked thoroughly and cooled completely because an undercooked or an un-cooled chicken may get spoiled, despite storing it in a refrigerator or a freezer. 

You can reheat these in the microwave oven for 7 to 10 minutes at 350F.
